Our Staff

We love our staff and hope that you will too!

Feel free to contact them if you have questions about our church.

  • Drew Mentzer                                                                            Email

Drew is serving as interim minister while we search for a new lead minister.  He comes with many good years of experience. Since he retired from his last full time preaching ministry, but hasn't retired from ministering altogether, he is a perfect fit for our temporary position. Drew is preaching on Sunday mornings and leading our adult Bible study on Wednesday evenings. He will also be spending time in the office on Wednesday afternoons to be available to the congregation.

  • Kaleb Smith                                                                              Email

Kaleb became our Student Minister in May of 2017 after graduating from Johnson University with a degree in Preaching and Youth Ministry. Kaleb, along with his wife, Emily, are excited to be a part of the FCC family and look forward to what God has in store for the Lakeway area.

Kaleb is originally from Crawfordsville, IN and Emily is from Savannah, GA. Emily graduated from Johnson University alongside Kaleb with a degree in Teacher Education and is employed at Johnson University in the Advancement office.

Kaleb has a passion for seeing young students passionately pursue the Lord. He loves being able to teach and disciple them  to see that the Word is relevant in every aspect of life. Kaleb is a sport enthusiast, enjoying playing and watching all types, especially golf, ultimate Frisbee, and baseball.

  • Ross McSherry                                                                          Email

I became the worship minister at First Christian Church in 2017 after graduating from Johnson University with a degree in Worship Ministry. I am also the young adult minister at FCC. Along with playing music, I love sports, particularly ultimate Frisbee and golf. I am passionate about musical worship as well as seeing the kingdom of God extended here in Morristown.

  • Dawn Bugher                                                                          Email

Dawn works part-time as the church Office Manager and loves that her job allows time for being with family, quilting, gardening, music, and various hands-on projects. Bill, her husband, works as an airplane mechanic and in his off time enjoys woodworking, fishing, and tinkering around the house. They have three children: Aaron, Ashley and Timothy, who have all "flown the coop". On Sundays, you will often find Dawn playing flute and Bill sitting at the sound board making sure she's not too loud.
